The Journey Continues…

Dear Honey Bees,

As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the duality of life—the sticky and the sweet, the ease and the challenges, the stillness and the movement. Each of us approaches this moment differently. Some pause to reflect deeply, praising lessons learned or judging what could have been better. Others move forward with finesse or perhaps fickleness, choosing the now over the past or the future. No matter how you approach this season, we are all connected by the shared energy of our journeys.

Last year at this time, I was full of excitement and pride for what lay ahead for Come Bee. Every plan was set, every detail fine-tuned, ready to unfold. And then, as life often does, it brought unexpected challenges—stinging me just as the year came to an end. It was a lesson in duality: recognizing when to press forward and when to pause. I chose to pause, to rest, and to reclaim my balance for the journey ahead.

In January 2024, I shared with you, my beloved community, that I needed to take a step back from hosting wellness experiences to focus on my family and my own grounding practices. Your response was overwhelmingly compassionate. Thank you for giving me the grace to recalibrate. Behind the scenes, I continued working toward the dream of making wellness experiences more accessible. In April, I purchased land for Come Bee, and in October, a bus—milestones made possible by the Houston Equity Fund grants from 2023 and 2024. These are just the beginnings of a vision rooted in connection and care.

This October, as Come Bee celebrated its fourth anniversary, I was thrilled to announce the return of our monthly wellness experiences: Stress-Free Sundays at the Houston Arboretum Nature Center and Tadasana in the Tre at the S.H.A.P.E. Community Center. The November and December gatherings brought together both new and familiar faces, and I was reminded of the sweetness of community and shared purpose.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to share that each month in 2025 will have a dedicated focus to deepen our wellness journey. In January, we’ll start with the root chakra, exploring its grounding properties—helping us feel secure, protected, and connected to a sense of belonging. Through mindfulness, movement, and meditation, we’ll go inward, cultivating stability and strength as we begin the new year.

This next chapter is about cultivating space—physically and emotionally—for you to breathe, reconnect, and reclaim your well-being. Together, we’ll focus on life-sustaining practices like breathwork and mindfulness to help reset our nervous systems, combat stress, and prevent chronic conditions that too often arise from the chaos of life.

Your support has been integral to this journey, and I hope you’ll stay connected through our newsletter and Instagram. Register for upcoming events and mark your calendars—we have so much in store for the year ahead!

Would you like to help bring the vision to life? We’re seeking creatives to shape the wellness concepts for our land and bus. If this resonates with you, let’s connect:

Thank you for walking this path with me. Let’s continue to grow, breathe, and thrive together. The journey doesn’t pause for the New Year—it evolves with us.

With love and gratitude,
